Anand Krishna is In Critical Stage

Wednesday April 13rd, 2011 is the 36th day of Anand Krishna's hunger strike. He non violently struggle for justice in Indonesia. The author of more than 140 books is arrested at Indonesian Police Hospital. He has lost 25 kg weight. It's hardly to open his eyes. Morever, to speak some words.

This morning some friends visited the founder of Anand Ashram Foundation (affiliated wit UN, 2006). Then, Anand said some words recorded by them. This is the message:

After fasting for 7 days, in a weak condition, Mahatma Gandhi said, "If God still need his body as a tool to work, therefore it shall be tough still. If not, let me die."

Mahatma Gandhi struggled against British Colonialist who still probably has conscience. We are now dealing with a system that has no conscience.

I remember the Indonesian 1st President, Bung Karno, "Indeed, our struggle is harder, because we are dealing with our own countryman, our own brothers and sisters."

I don't know how long I can be survive, may be only for some hours or a couple of days. This body can be died, but I am sure that someday there will be another Motherland's children that continue this struggle against the injustice and uncivilized. Greeting from Indonesia, Salute in Love!

Today, all family members and friends are so worried. They keep on accompanying Anand Krishna in the hospital. Anand do not want to stop the hunger strike until the judge unsign the arrest letter issued by Hari Sasangka.

In the trial process it should be no reason to arrest somebody who has not decided guilty yet by law. Mr. Anand is a good man and he was cooperative during the trial. From law point of view, I think Mr. Anand can be released as soon as possible. Because there is no evidence to put him in jail. In accord with other law experts and public figures who support Mr. Anand so far, " said Pater. Frans Magniz Suseno S.J when visited Mr. Anand on Wednesday 13 April 2011.
